JustQr works fully in the browser. The desktop application is for those who want to connect a receipt printer and run full screen at the till.

The printer bridge is included. After setup, receipts are sent to your printer on the local network through the computer at the till.

Setup

Download and run
Download the installer and run it. If Windows shows an unknown publisher warning, choose More info → Run anyway and continue.

Sign in with your account
When the application opens you sign in with your JustQr account. Same account and same data as the web version; no separate setup or data transfer is needed.

Set up the printer
In the settings section you define your printer on the local network. This is also where you decide which product prints at which station (grill, bar, till).
Your browser may show a warning
Chrome or Windows may warn that the installer is “suspicious” or from an “unknown publisher.” This is not because there is anything wrong with the file: our application does not yet have a code signing certificate and browsers mark unsigned, newly released programs this way by default.
If you want to be sure the file you downloaded really is ours, you can compare the SHA-512 checksum above. If you are not certain, do not install it; write to us and we will look at it together.
If you would rather not install anything, there is no need to; you can use the whole system from the browser. The desktop application is only required for connecting a receipt printer.
System requirements
- Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
- Must be on the same local network as the printer
- About 300 MB of disk space for the installation
Automatic updates
The application checks for and downloads new versions by itself. You do not need to come back to this page to update, and there is no interruption during service.
Other devices
On tablets, phones, Macs and touchscreen POS PCs you can use it from the browser; no installation is needed. The desktop application is only required for the printer connection.
Your printer is never exposed to the internet
The cloud server never connects to your printer directly. The receipt is passed over your local network through the application at the till. This makes setup simpler and keeps your printer closed to the outside world.
You can start without installing the till application.
